A Minton coffee service decorated with flying cranes, circa 1882

A Minton bone china coffee service, pattern G4377, circa 1882, transfer-printed with a touch of hand-colouring with cranes in flight after a similar design ordinarily printed in blue by Christopher Dresser, the service comprising twelve coffee cups, twelve saucers, eleven sideplates, one slop basin and a pair of cake or bread and butter plates, impressed 'MINTONS' marks, painted pattern number in iron red (38) (damage to a few cups)

Condition Report
Cups - five cracked or with hairlines, one with reglued break, three stained, another with short hairline near handle (three cups with no damages or staining)

1 sideplate with hairline, another with small foot rim chip

Saucers - two stained with closely packed glaze crazing throughout, another with underside foot chip

One cakeplate slightly discoloured
