A Chinese silver-inlaid bronze harness ring, Zhou Dynasty/Warring States
Of flattened disc form and inlaid with a geometric pattern of straps and spirals, the surface with a green patina and remnants of red pigment.
11cm dia.

A bronze chariot mount excavated in 1954 at Yongji, Shanxi province, and dating to the 4th or 3rd century B.C. is inlaid with very similar decorations to the present lot. See The Genius of China, ex.cat., 1973, fig.127.

Condition Report
Small loss to the rim edge. Surface with patch verdigris. Remnants of original decoration visible but wear and losses consistent with age.
