John Anthony Park was heavily influenced by the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist movements, his style characterised by short brush strokes and a rich, colourful palette. Colour was a central driving factor in Park's artwork, being widely quoted that "colour is everything. Anyone can be taught line, but you cannot teach a feeling for colour".
