  Lot 3

Three Wilson/Neale & Co pearlware models from the Four Seasons Series, (Winter, Summer and Spring), circa 1795-1816, Winter depicted as a young boy huddled in a brown cloak, impressed title and crown mark, (chipped base), Summer as a boy holding corn, and Spring as a young girl seated holding her floral attributes, impressed title, each 13.5cm high (3) *Around 1790 James Neale withdrew from the business in favour of his partner Robert Wilson. The crowned G mark seems to date from this time. In some cases the crowned G mark occurs alongside Neale and Co marks, however. Robert Wilson died in 1801 and the factory continued production till 1820. The earlier work of the Wilson factory continued Neale and Co models and traditions.
