Caughley tea service, circa 1790, and other ceramics

A Caughley porcelain tea service, circa 1790, of fluted form, painted in underglaze blue and overglaze gilt with sprigs, with chain pearl borders, the service comprising a barrel-shaped teapot and cover, a bucket-shape cream jug, two coffee cups, two tea bowls, a pair of saucers and a circular bread and butter plate, painted S marks, teapot 14.5cm high; sold together with a Victorian trio of coffee cup, saucer and side plate, decorated in red, yellow and gilt, pattern number 625, two miniature teacups and saucers, 20th century, a Royal Worcester blanc de chine sweetmeat dish, shape 349, and a Copeland Spode twin-handled sucrier and cover, designed for the American market, retailed by Gered, London, Piccadilly Arcade, 12cm high and a small Victorian blue and yellow glass vase (group)

Condition Report

Caughley service - various elements of some gilding wear, particularly to the teapot (mainly the cover, rim and the lower portion of the body). The cover also has some minute nibbles on the underside rim. The teapot spout has a chip and associated hairline crack.
Teapot stand - gilt sprigs heavily rubbed.
Cream jug - small hairline below the spout.
Teabowls - small blemish to one foot, this tea bowl also has some black scratches to the interior.
No other damages or repairs to the service.
