A good early-mid 18th century oak dresser base

A good early-mid 18th century oak dresser base, the later gallery back over a rectangular top with a scotia moulded edge, above three cockbeaded drawers, over an arc d'arbelette shaped apron on the front and sides, pierced in the centre with a heart, on boldly carved, chunky cabriole legs, 197cm wide x 50cm deep x 81cm high

Condition Report

Well figured and good colour. The ledge/back gallery later. Back edge of top on left with 15cm x 1cm patch. Old woodworm. Later handles and back-plates, one with later screws, but no evidence on the fronts of other handles and back-plates. Minor chip on right vertical cockbead of middle drawer and a small amount of buckling on top horizontal cockbead. Some cockbeads later. Age cracks and patinated chips and dents and scratches. Overall - above average condition.
