Two First World War medal trios, Royal Navy/Royal Naval Reserve

Royal Navy/Naval Reserve. First World War medal trio to "T.Z 6018 J. WOOD ACT L.S. R.N.V.R" comprising British War Medal (poor condition) Victory Medal and 1914-15 Star [A.B, R.N.V.R]; together with a further trio of Victory Medal, British War Medal and 1914-15 Star to "K.20366 F.J GORE STO. 1. R.N." No ribbons.

Acting Leading Seaman John Wood (b. 16th April 1896). Entered service on 14th July 1915. Service includes onboard the Neptune (16th December 1915 - 1st May 1917) and at the land stations HMS Excellent (2nd May 1917 - 3rd September 1917) and HMS President III. The Neptune fought during the Battle of Jutland during the period Wood was on board.

Stoker 1st Class Frederick John Gore (b. 26th May 1895). Entered service on the 5th September 1913. Wartime action includes onboard HMS Abermarle (11th January 1914 - 18th January 1915); HMS Achilles (19th January 1915 - 31st January 1919). He continued to serve in the Navy until 1925.
