An unusual prattware 1803 Volunteers military jug, early 19th century, inscribed 'Ly Vol'teers' with military figures holding rifles, unmarked, 14,5cm high (chip to the tip of spout) Originally raised in 1794 the force was disbanded in 1802 following the Peace of Amiens. By act of Parliament in 1803 the Crown was again able to call up able bodied men. See Prattware 1780-1840, page 163.
