A collection of Liverpool and Herculaneum ceramics

A group of Liverpool pottery and porcelain, 18th century and early 19th century, comprising a James or John Pennington 'Fisherman' sauceboat, 10.5cm high; an uncommon Richard Chaffers 'Trellis Fence' saucer, 12cm diameter; a John and Jane Pennington 'Mistress and Maid' polychrome tea bowl and saucer, saucer 13.5cm diameter; and a group of Herculaneum, comprising a pair of teacups and saucers with sepia landscapes; a new oval sucrier and cover decorated in imari and gilt, marked '820', 14cm high; an oval teapot stand, painted with an array of flowers within green and gilt border, 18.5cm wide; a 'Doll's House' pattern plate, numbered 1221, 18cm diameter, a transfer-printed blue and white tea bowl and saucer together with two coffee cans, one printed with hand-colouring and one fully painted (16 pcs including cover)

Condition Report

Pennington sauceboat - Crack around lower portion of handle and a hairline to the centre of the spout.
'Trellis Fence' saucer - broken into two pieces and restored.
'Mistress and Maid' saucer - Small restored chip to rim, together with some further nibbles to rim of both saucer and tea bowl.

Herculaneum teacups and saucers - minor gilt wear.
Tea bowl and saucer - minor gilt wear, crazing lines to centre of saucer
Teapot stand - some patches of gilt wear to rim and a couple of minor scratches through floral decoration
Printed base coffee can - glaze crazing throughout
Sucrier - wear to gilt on finial and rim, chip to inner rim of base and hairline cracks to body


Dolls House plate - good condition


No other damages or repairs
