Coalport yellow Empire-style service and a further cased Coalport Athlone Marone service

Two cased Coalport coffee services
comprising an Empire-style service, circa 1891-1919, decorated with yellow borders garlanded with wreaths and bows, comprising six cups and saucers, in fitted case, printed factory marks in green (some crazing, one saucer with hairline, case heavily worn); together with a further cased coffee service in the Athlone Marone pattern, mid-20th century, comprising six coffee cans and six saucers.

Provenance: The yellow cased service came from Gordon Lodge, Aberdeenshire. This was the home of Commander W Dugdale & Mrs Alice Dugdale, who purchased the house in the 1880s and raised a family there. It is likely ot have been a wedding gift to one of their children who kept the house.
