Condition Report

The painting is an oil on canvas, framed without glazing. The frame having solid joints but numerous surface losses and cracks to the gilt gesso. The canvas has reasonable tension with a repair patch verso over a 2cm diagonal gash in the canvas to the right hand side of the dog.The paint condition appears stable, with some minor surface craquelure but no obvious evidence for paint loss or deterioration. Some surface dirt.
