A Chinese Jian ware 'hare's fur' bowl, Song Dynasty
With deeply rounded sides and a fine 'ogee' rim, covered in a thick, lustrous glaze with brown 'hare's fur' streaks, on the exterior the glaze ending in a thick row just above the foot rim, the underside unglazed showing a dark brown stoneware body.
