A Caughley oval basket painted in the Gillyflower I pattern, circa 1776-80, with twisted rope handles and applied moulded flowers to the exterior, the flowers with a blue centre, C mark, 21cm wide and 6.1cm high (cracked, handle replaced) Provenance: Wright Collection no.438, purchased in 1993 from a McCartney's Davenport House sale where it was listed as 'Worcester'.
