Hugh Robert Hughes was the son of Hugh Robert Hughes the elder and his second wife Anne Lance, he married lady Florentia.

Condition Report

The painting has been relined and has been overpainted and retouched. There is surface level craquelure throughout and some minor losses. Surface level accretions and dirt are present and some small chips and scuffs. The canvas tension is good, dent lower right
