A group of English porcelain teacups and saucers, early-mid 19th century including Coalport

A group of English porcelain teacups and saucers
early-mid 19th century
comprising a Coalport striped blue and gilt Adelaide-shaped cup and saucer, circa 1845, pattern 4/805; a Coalport cup and saucer, circa 1820, painted with floral panels reserved against a pale blue ground, pattern 856, a Coalport imari cup and saucer, unmarked; further Coalport cup and saucer, circa 1825, finely painted with gilt, floral panels reserved against a cobalt ground, H&R Daniel cup and saucer decorated in gilt with a bird in branches, pattern 4381, circa 1830; three further H&R Daniel imari Etruscan-shape teacups and saucers; a New Chelsea trio decorated with pink roses, retailed by T.Goode & Co Ltd, circa 1912 and a Spode teacup and saucer, circa 1820, pattern 2968, decorated with floral sprigs interspersed with peach and gilt square panels, painted factory mark in iron red (21 pcs)

Condition Report

Daniel cup and saucer with gilded birds - Some rubbing to the centre gilding on the saucer, very fine crazing or hairline running from the saucer's rim and a 1.5cm long hairline from the teacup's rim.


Coalport imari - Handle re-glued.

Coalport pattern 856 - Gilding rubbed. No damages or repairs.


New Chelsea trio - Some slight rubbing to decoration. No damages or repairs.

Coalport Adelaide cup and saucer - no damages or repairs.

Coalport floral and cobalt cup and saucer - no damages or repairs.

Daniel imari cups and saucers - 1 teacup with hairline extending 2cm downwards from upper rim. 1 teacup with long crack extending right around lower section, the final cup with two hairlines from rim. Saucers with minor damages but no rubbing.


Spode teacup and saucer - Some rubbing to gilding on saucer, no damages or repairs.
