A very large glass shop front sign for Bert's Fish Bar, London, circa first half 20th century, reverse painted with the name in serif capitals with silver and gold coloured textured foil backing, against a green ground, set in a later green painted wood frame, 295cm long, 56cm high.

Selected works from Percy's Cafe Bar, Whitchurch, Shropshire. The sign was originally part of the shopfront livery of Bert's Fish bar at 354 East Street in the borough of Southwark, SE17, which is still in existence.

Condition Report
Frame good. Glass has vertical crack off centre. Paint and foil on letters showing some degredation and aging/flaking. Some flaking to green ground at one end.
