A 19th century Chinese, King George and Queen Charlotte, ivory puzzle ball chess set, the stained red side depicting the emperor and empress, the opposing, natural side depicting King George III and Queen Charlotte, the Bishops as court officials, the Knights as mounted cavalrymen, the rooks as caparisoned elephants, King 14.5cm, pawn 7cm high

Condition Report

One white rook lacking flags, one white bishop with front leg and stump detached, white king with sceptre broken in half and cross detached, five white pawns lacking swords.

Red - queen missing fan and chipped spport, bishops with worn stain, knights lacking swords, rooks lacking flags and stain worn, six pawns lacking swords, some pieces cracked and with minor chips.
