India General Service 1854-95 medal, 1 clasp, Burma 1885-7, renamed in Royal Navy/Royal Marines style impressed capital serifs to "2028. L/SERGT A.L. HOLLINS CHESHIRE REG'T"

Absalom Lawton Hollins 2nd Battalion Cheshire Regiment confirmed on medal rolls for Burma 1887-9 but not 1885-7, so the clasp is incorrect. Born in Silverdale, Cheshire. Joined in August, 1885.

Also served in the Boer War and the First World War - numerous service numbers on record cards: Wr/326948, 228557, Se/9567, 5529, 2028, 80925/C, 1466. Died October, 1943.
