An 18th century painted 30-hour longcase clock

An 18th century painted 30-hour longcase clock, the plain hood with a cavetto cornice and freestanding pillars, enclosing an earlier 10.25” brass, unsigned dial, with date aperture, spandrels relief moulded with cherubim holding aloft a crown, Roman numerals, Arabic 5 minute markers and a matted ground, above a cusped arched trunk door, the 30-hour birdcage movement with anchor escapement, striking on a bell, with weight 195cm high (4)

Condition Report

Chips, dents and scratches consistent with age and use. Movement associated with case. Base of case with vertical crack from top to bottom on the front. Not operational in vendor’s home.
