A Chinese embroidered silk woman's informal surcoat

Late Qing/Republic Period

Worked in coloured threads with peonies and other flowers with butterflies against a black damask ground, edged with embroidered trim having trailing flowers and foliage.

Condition Report
Collar unstitched at the back.  Hem tape unstitched in places.  Signs of wear throughout.  Light staining and wear inside.
