A Chinese embroidered silk women's jacket

Late Qing/Republic period

With Western collar, the lower half to the front worked in shades of blue, green and gold couched thread with guardian lions frolicking in a rocky landscape amid flowering peonies against a black damask ground, the back worked with peony and lotus sprays.

Signs of wear throughout.  Hem tape unstitched in places.  Staining inside.
