Two sketch books dating to the early 20th century, during British rule, by M. Murray. Containing watercolour botanical studies of local flora around the mountainous regions of Northern India and Pakistan. Each botanical study is accompanied by handwritten annotations, notes and dates.

Notable locations include Pahalgam, Sarwall Pass, Sonamani, Qadian, Zojila Pass and Sinthan Top, around the regions of Jamu and Kashmir, India. Areas in Pakistan include Rama Lake, Astore in Gilgit-Baltistan and the Kamri Valley.
