A carved oak backstool 17th century

A carved oak backstool 17th century and later with lunette carved cresting and flower head centred scroll top rail above a leaf and flower carved indented panel between carved uprights over a later upholstered bird and flower tapestry seat raised on baluster and block front legs joined by a mirrored baluster stretcher.

Top crest rail repaired, front right leg repaired, front rail with later strengthened replaced side stretcher.
