WW2 German aeroplane engine badge and items related to Flt. Sgt. Barnett

A scarce German Luftwaffe Mercedez Benz aeroplane engine badge, as used in the Messerschmitt 109, with part number '9-600.260-029.-34 / 1358 / 3115.4" to reverse, with small circular wooden mounted plaque; acquired by Flt. Sgt George W. Barnett, Royal Air Force during the Second World War.

Sold together with three items relating to Barnett's service: - Mentioned in Despatches certificate, dated 1st January 1943; Crossing the Line Certificate, on board H.M.S Eagle, dated 1934; and a black and white photograph of a Hawker Osprey MK1 flying above H.M.S Eagle

Flight Sergeant George W. Barnett (561999). Born on 19th Jul 1911 Avebury, Tewkesbury, Worcestershire. Joined the RAF in 1929.
