of punt shape and painted in underglaze blue with the Weir pattern, within a greek key and cell diaper border, underglaze blue 'o' mark to the foot rim, 30.5cm wide

*See The Watney Collection Part III, London, 1st November 2000, lot 1216 and Halls' auction on 28th April 2010, lot 71 for similar examples of this combination of pattern and rare shape. The latter example was purchased by Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery for £520(+buyer's premium) and now resides within their collection.
