A Chinese export lacquer games box and cover, Qing dynasty, circa 1840, of canted rectangular form decorated with an all over chinoiserie design and containing six lidded boxes and ten small trays comprising: one marked with the diamond suit for ace, two king and queen together, one king, one queen, one knight and one nine of diamonds, a tray marked 'GAME' and two chinoiserie examples, the boxes and covers also chinoiserie decorated, the main box on four elongated bun feet, for restoration, 37cm wide, 31cm deep, 13cm high
