KNUTSFORD PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM. An exceptional album of photographs of Knutsford, Cheshire, presented to Henry Holland by the grateful tenants and inhabitants of Knutsford on his elevation to the peerage as Lord Knutsford in 1888. Most of the photographs were taken between 1858 and 1868 by the late Major Hill, the others taken in 1888 by the Rev Ralph J Bradbury. There is a total of 84 sepia photographs. 66 photos by Major Hill including some superb street scenes, 15 by Bradbury and 3 initialled 'KL'. In addition, 127 families have signed their names in the book and stated how long the family has resided in Knutsford. Several claim to have lived in the town for over 200 years.
