Condition Report
The painting is an oil on canvas and has been relined. There do not appear to be any rips, tears or holes and the tension is good. The paint surface has craquelure throughout but appears stable. There is roughness around all four edges of the canvas. There is scratching to the upper left corner with paint damage and a scratch lower right corner. There is a surface disturbance to a patch in the lower centre- could possibly be from having something placed against the paint surface. There has been some restoration to the paint on the face, upper section of the coat and top of the dog's head. There is an abrasion upper left. General surface dirt and surface level accretions present.
