A Caughley polychrome cream boat or 'gadroon boat', Chamberlain decorated, circa 1780-85, with raised, overlapping strap handle and scroll terminal, raised on a spreading, rope moulded foot, painted in over-glaze polychrome enamels in the Dog Rose pattern, with floral sprays, below a red lined rim, impressed star mark, 6.5cm high *See Caughley in Colour, page 59 where the author notes that this pattern was found at both Worcester and Caughley, however was only found on two shapes.
