A small old English style country oak box stool, the hinged planked top opening to reveal a hinge interior before a shallow carved panelled frieze accommodating a large lock plate, flanked by matching carved sides, raised on short turned legs united by rail stretchers, 36 cm high, the top measuring 50 x 35 cm.
