Two Rogers meat platters and one other attributed to Job Ridgway, early 19th century

A group of three blue and white English earthenware meat platters, 19th century, comprising a 'Curling Palm' platter attributed to Job Ridgway, circa 1802-1808, unmarked, 42.5cm wide; a John Rogers & Co 'Elephant' platter, circa 1815-20, showing the trainer and elephant standing before a lake, the platter with drainage channels and juice trap, impressed mark and numerals '18', 46.5cm wide; and another Rogers platter, 'Boston State House #1', impressed 'ROGERS' and '20', 52.5cm wide (3)

Condition Report

The elephant trainer plater is chipped to the rim and has further smaller nibbles and losses to glaze around edge.


Some scratches to both sides of the Boston State Garden platter and typical wear around the rim.


Glaze fault to Job Ridgway platter.
