A Chinese 'dou' stem bowl with matched cover, Qing Dynasty, the flat bottomed bowl raised on a splayed pedestal foot, all over decorated with patterned molding in an archaic style, the domed cover of a slightly darker blue glaze, impressed with a stylised wave design below a finial modelled as two crossed strands of twisted rope, the base with an impressed six character Jiaqing mark, the cover with a Qianlong mark, overall height 25cm, diameter of bowl 15cm (at fault)
