Comprising four shallow drawers with reeded front, a twin handled cupboard and with a raised rear lip. Turned brass handles of trumpet shape. Raised on four tapering legs, applied "A Shine product" label to the back.

In the early 1950's and after the festival of Britan in 1951, Archie Shine became a high end producer of British mid century furniture, later in 1957 Archie Shine Furniture took on board Robert Heritage as a designer and became very popular with many ranges of furniture made in his London east end factory and sold from Harrods, Heals and many other top retailers throughout the UK.
The 'Hamilton' sideboard was one of the pieces designed by Robert Heritage for Archie Shine in the 1950s and sold through Heals department stores.
The designer won an award for this model as one of twenty products recognised in the Design Council 'Designs of the Year' in 1958.

Condition Report
Used condition consistent with age. Small circular watermarks visible on the top surface as well as scratches. Discoloration of the veneer on the right hand side. Small chips to the veneer on various parts. Marks of green pencil inside top drawer.
