A J.H.Steward brass monocular microscope and a brass pocket microscope

A cased J.H.Stewart brass monocular microscope, signed J.H. Stewart 406 Strand, with dual adjustment, focusing by rack and pinion, mechanical stage with plano/concave mirror below, in mahogany case fitted with set of slides, two objectives, two oculars, and parabolic reflector, 38cm high, together with a brass travel/pocket monocular microscope, 15.5cm high, and a cased set of 36 study slides. Condition Report

Stewart microscope: Some cosmetic marks, scratches and spotting to the surface, consistent with age and use. Focus and fine focus functioning well. Accoutrements intact. Case fair to good with some signs of age and use including replaced lock plate of incorrect size.


Pocket microscope: Some surface tarnishing throughout. Optics good.


Study slides: Pine case showing signs of wear, age and use. Slides appear fair overall.
