A French gilt-metal mantel clock

A French gilt-metal mantel clock, of architectural form with urn finial, inset with Sevres style porcelain panels, the 3in (75mm) white enamel dial with black Roman numerals, the eight-day movement signed A.Simpson, 154 Regent Street, and striking on a bell, 28.5cm high (no pendulum or key).

Condition Report
Casse fair with some genneral rubbing to the gilt throughout.  Top porcelain panel has slipped down and needs re-seating.  Dial good.  Movement lacking pendulum and so not tested or seen running.
