"A True and Perfect Pedegree of the auntient and worthy familie of Beresford alias Burford, originally descended from Berford in the County of Warwick and since transplanted into Leicestershire, from whence John Barford of the said county, Gent, is lineally descended, exactly continued to ye year 1647". 3.2 metres long by 0.82m wide, decorated in full colour with 103 coats of arms showing the pedigree of John Barford from the Norman Conquest to 1647. In very good condition with vibrant colours.
Together with a manuscript pedigree of Edward William Jeffreys, Esquire, 1860, on paper backed with pink silk, 2 metres long. In a custom made black morocco box with gilt tooling. With a printed pedigree of the family of Barton, compiled by the Rev T S Hill and printed by Mitchell and Hughes; a large hard coloured coat of arms on vellum; and a small collection of related ephemera including photographs and letters.
