A Chinese carved rosewood chair, early 20th century, Tianjin (Tientsin) region, the undulating top rail above a pierced splat carved with leaves and ruyi sceptres above a fielded panel seat and shaped arms over open brackets centred by gourd vases, the shaped apron incised with scrolls and raised on square legs joined by stretchers, 62cm wide, seat height 50cm, overall height 96.5cm
