From Genesis 4: 1-15. Cain, a farmer, made an offering to God from his harvested crops and Abel, a shepherd, sacrificed a lamb. God was pleased with Abel's offering's but refused Cain's. Cain, in his anger, slew his brother Abel. This group was shown at the International Exhibition, 1862.

Condition Report
There are chips to one toe and finger, and a firing fault across one figure's thigh. Some wear to the ram's ears and fingers clutching the pillar. Please see the additional photographs.
