An English carved bone chess set, late 19th century, 32 pieces, one set stained red, kings 10.4cm high, with associated box and folding leather chess board (three replacements, some chips and losses).

• Red knight replaced and repaired
• Loss to red king's finial
• Loss to red rook's crenelation and chip to base
• Chips to both queen's finials
• Two red pawns chipped
• Signs of age and use throughout
