A small English prattware 'Duke of York and the Royal Sufferers' jug, circa 1794-1795, nicely detailed moulding, picked out in ochre, blue, and green, with portrait medallions of the Duke opposed by Louis XVI with Marie Antoinette with the young Dauphin, within foliate borders above a fluted base, unmarked, 11.2cm high

Condition Report
Hairline running down central seam from the spout. A few sections of glaze loss around the rim and a couple of minor nicks the edge of the spout. Firing cracks around the junctures of the handle, one of which has extended into a hairline. Still very presentable and displays nicely.
