A rare WW2 Russian Model 1936 (SSh-36) Steel Combat Helmet, the shell with its flared sides and top comb, centre of the helmet has red painted Star with Hammer and Sickle, interior with black leather sweatband with six fingers and a brown leather chinstrap, stamped ‘3 1080’ These are now scarcely found helmets which were worn in the early part of the Second World War (Great Patriotic War) before being replaced by the more common SSh-39 and SSh-40 models.
