A first half of the 19th century, Neoclassical style, gilt gesso harp by Jacob & James Erat

A first half of the 19th century gilt gesso and painted harp by Jacob & James Erat, the fluted column form support with a capitol, relief moulded with anthemia and winged caryatids, on griffin feet, makers plaque engraved 'J & J Erat. Patent Harp Manufacturers, 23 Berners St, London, No 1796', with 8 folding brass pedals and 34 strings, some damage and in need of re-stringing/restoration, 171cm high

Condition Report

Very chipped and scratched and lacking elements including 3cm section of caryatid, needs re-stringing, used by vendor but not known if in working order.
