The painting is an oil on canvas, framed without glazing, the canvas having been relined and retaining good tension with no obvious signs of rips, tears or holes. The paint surface has surface-level craquelure throughout and some larger patches of craquelure- no major signs of paint loss or deterioration aside from some small paint chips to the top right corner. Some surface level accretions and dirt present. The later frame has evidence for general wear and tear, joints appear solid.
