Manner of Rembrandt Harmensz. van Rijn (Dutch 1606-1669), The Card Players, oil on canvas, 119 x 94cm. After an original painting by a follower of Rembrandt in the National Gallery collection NG1247

Provenance: Previously in a collection at Trawsgoed Mansion, Trawsgoed, Ceredigion.

Notes: This painting is hung in a heavy 19th century gilt composite frame measuring 150 x 125.5 cm

Condition Report

Under UV the painting has been heavily repainted and retouched in places. It has been cleaned and relined; the paint surface is also quite flat due to the restoration and cleaning process. It is in a heavy plaster gilt frame which is in good condition.
