Footnote:Gerald V. Gadd (d.2011) was a post-war contemporary artist from Oswestry, Shropshire. He painted mostly in watercolour but was also known to use oils and pastel. Gadd is best known for his landscapes of Shropshire and the rugged mountainous terrain of North Wales. He exhibited at numerous locations including the Mall Galleries, London, Royal Institute of Watercolour Artists and the Pastel Society. In 1978 he was elected member of the Pastel Society, and later the British Watercolour Society and British Society of Painters but resigned from these institutes in 1990 in order to solely concentrate upon his painting.
