Freida Hughes (b.1960) is the daughter of poets Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes. She graduated from St. Martin's School of Art and has made a successful career as a childrens book illustrator and poet. In 2002 she won the Invention and Innovation award from WESTA for her project 40 Years comprising 40 abstract paintings that represented the emotional impact of each year of her life.
