Rare Tippers '3 Tips' Poison Bottle

A rare Tippers poison bottle
circa 1904
of skittle-form, mid-cobalt glass, one-half plain for labelling the other embossed 'POISON', above moulded warning fluting with the area below embossed 'THRETIPENE/ (TIPPERS 3 TIPS)/ DISINFECTANT', 'RD NO 442142' to base
27cm high

Recently discovered in an old barn, this bottle is the largest, rarest and most desirable example of it's type and research shows that this is just one of three examples recorded in this size. The veterinary supply company B.C. Tippers & Son were registered at 43 Homer Street, Balsal Heath, Birmingham.

Condition Report
There is one horizontal scratch to the exterior neck of the bottle, some internal striations to the neck when viewed under a torch. There are no cracks, chips, or signs of serious defects, there are a couple of minor scratches to the base's underside.
