After Arthur Marie Gabriel Comte du Passage (French, 1838-1909), ‘Jument de chasse sangle par un lad’, signed in the casting ‘Cte du Passage’, patinated bronze, 52cm long x 24cm high

Provenance:

Purchased from the McKewan Gallery (Ballater, Aberdeenshire) in the mid-1990s for £6,000. Mrs McKewan bought this sculpture from Sotheby’s in London. According to the vendor this casting was appraised by a specialist at Sotheby’s who stated that it was one of only five produced.
