A Sybil Dunlop moonstone and chalcedony necklace

A Sybil Dunlop moonstone and chalcedony silver necklace, designed as alternating moonstone and chalcedony oval cabochons collet set in silver, the chalcedony cabochons with scroll and bead silver embellishments to the mounts, with bolt ring clasp, presented within original 'Sybil Dunlop Ltd' fitted box, and with Sybil Dunlop card, 39cm long, weight approx 35.3g

Sybil Dunlop (1889-1968) was a British jewellery designer known for her Arts and Crafts style pieces which often incorporated cabochon cut semi-precious and precious gemstones set in silver. Her workshop was located at 69 Kensington Church Street, London where she traded in the 1920's and 1930's up until the Second World War. Following the war her principle craftsman W. Narthanson traded under her name until his retirement in 1971.
