A Victorian gilt metal hall lantern, of octagonal form, with foliate scroll arms connecting the upper 'crown' with the main body of the lantern, each side with a painted glass panel, simulating stained glass, each decorated with a vacant armorial above a lozenge over a vacant cartouche, surmounted by 'S' scrolls supporting a fruiting finial and with a base with a central mask above swags, 127cm high, with attachments 137cm high, 60.5cm wide.

Condition Report

Surface tarnished throughout. All screws/bolts showing signs of surface rust. Structurally sound throughout. No obvious losses. One glass panel has a repair to the lower corner, all panels have some very light nibbles to the edges in places.
